Rare Orange Cicada

Cicada are probably my favorite insect/bug. They look awesome, make lots of loud and annoying noise, but it wouldn’t be summer here in Kansas without them.

I’ve learned that these little guy stay in the ground for as long as 17 years, which earns mad respect!

This year they are different though, they are a bright orange color rather than the green that they usually are.

It’s been very hard to bring out the proper colors in these pictures, but I think they came out alright. I’ll continue working on them, and if I’m able to develop them more accurately then I’ll replace the current set.

And of course. No summer photo set would be complete without some ladybugs!
